TiB-Ti基金屬陶瓷的燃燒合成

摘 要: 通過(guò)自蔓延高溫燃燒合成,結(jié)合準(zhǔn)熱等靜壓工藝 (SHS/PHIP)制備了相對(duì)密度超過(guò)94%的TiB-xTi基金屬陶瓷復(fù)合材料,研究了金屬Ti含量對(duì)燃燒合成TiB-Ti基金屬陶瓷復(fù)合材料的影響。研究結(jié)果表明:隨著Ti含量的增加,絕熱溫度、燃燒溫度和燃燒速度均降低,反應(yīng)產(chǎn)物主要由TiB和Ti兩相組成,部分產(chǎn)物還有TiB2相存在,產(chǎn)物組織中,TiB相主要有針狀、棒狀和片狀等形態(tài),增強(qiáng)相的尺寸隨Ti含量的增加而減小;隨Ti含量的增加,產(chǎn)物的抗彎強(qiáng)度、抗拉強(qiáng)度、抗壓強(qiáng)度和斷裂韌性提高,且在Ti含量為40%(質(zhì)量分?jǐn)?shù))時(shí)達(dá)到最大值。

Combustion synthesis of TiB-Ti cermets

Abstract:The TiB-Ti cermets with high relative density were fabricated by self-propagating high temperature synthesis and pseudo hot isostatic pressing (SHS/PHIP) process. The effect of Ti content on TiB-xTi cermets was investigated . The adiabatic temperatures,combustion temperatures and combustion velocity decrease with Ti content increasing for TiB-xTi system. The synthesized TiB-Ti cermets mainly consist of TiB and Ti phases,but little TiB2 phase exists in some products. TiB phase has three morphologies, i.e. needle-like,rod-like,plate-like,  in the microstructure of synthesized TiB-xTi composites. The size of TiB grain decreases with an increasing amount of metal addition. The introduction of Ti into TiB-xTi cermets results in a drastic increase in the bending strength,tensile strength,compression strength,fracture toughness, and the maximum value is obtained with the addition of 40%Ti(mass fraction). It is proved that 40% metal content is the optimal constituent for synthesized TiB-Ti cermets.
