摘 要: 用碳熱還原法制取高化學(xué)劑量的B4C細粉, 細粉經(jīng)氣流粉碎制得微米級B4C粉末。 經(jīng)致密化工藝得到碳化硼屏蔽吸收芯塊。 芯塊達到了中國實驗快中子反應(yīng)堆(CEFR)的技術(shù)要求。 碳化硼芯塊在快堆中經(jīng)過383有效天的考核, 快中子通量達3.8×1022 cm-2(中子能量E>1.602×10-14 J, 即>0.1 MeV), 證明其具有高的輻照穩(wěn)定性, 符合使用要求, 可以在CEFR堆中使用。

testing in fast breeder reactor

Abstract: The boron carbide pellets were manufactured using fine powder which is fabricated by carbon reducing boron oxide and then by air flow attrition. The pellets satisfy the requirements of fast breeder reactor technical specifications. The pellets were tested in fast breeder reactor for 383 effective days, the fast neutron flux reached 3.8×1022 cm-2(E>1.602×10-14 J, i.e. >0.1 MeV). The results show that the irradiation stability of the pellets is very good and all the other irradiation properties meet the needs for CEFR. It means that the pellets developed can be used in fast breeder reactor.
