RECl3-CaCl2-MgCl2 TERNARY PHASE DIAGRAMS(RE:La,Ce,Pr,Nd)

Abstract:Nine sub-binary phase diagrams of the RECl3-CaCl2, RECl3- MgCl2 and CaCl2- MgCl2 systems,andthermodynamic data for these systems are critically assessed and optimized.Using Hillert model and taking MgCl2 as an asymmetric component,the ternary phase diagrams or the RECl3- CaCl2- MgCl2 systems are predtcted.As well,the determination of asymmetric component in the asymmetric model is investigated.
